Lili Mare is an indie-folk singer-songwriter from a small suburb near Cologne. Her songs move between quiet, introspective moments and driving indie-pop energy, shaped by influences such as Holly Humberstone, Maggie Rogers and Angie McMahon. Growing up between nature and city life, this contrast naturally found its way into her music — songs about searching, letting go and starting again.

Writing has always been a way of processing things for her. Once feelings are turned into songs and shared, they lose some of their weight. That honesty and emotional closeness runs through everything she writes.

Lili’s journey into music started in what she calls her “fangirl era”, spending as much time as possible at concerts and falling in love with live music. Watching artists on stage eventually led her to start writing her own songs at 16.

Her debut EP The Light, released in April 2025, was written during a time of stepping back and finding her way again after leaving Berlin. It’s a collection of songs about doubt, friendship and slowly learning to trust yourself. With her recent single “Hurry Up (She Needs Ya)”, produced by Michael Kümpers, she continues to explore a more indie-pop-leaning sound while staying rooted in vulnerability.
